24 September 2026 - Keep 100 fee changes in Australia
There are two upcoming changes to the Keep100 fee model affecting Chuffed campaigns based in Australia.
What's changing?
10 September 2026: Keep100 will no longer be available for new campaigns in Australia
From this date, newly created campaigns in Australia will no longer see the option to select the Keep100 fee model. By default, the Shared fee model will apply to all new campaigns created in Australia.
24 September 2026: All Keep100 campaigns will move to the Shared fee model (Australia only)
Any campaign created in Australia and currently using the Keep100 fee model will be updated automatically to the Shared fee model.
Why this is happening?
New Australian Government regulations mean businesses can no longer charge separate card surcharges — including payment processing fees — at checkout. To stay compliant, Chuffed will be retiring the Keep100 fee model ahead of the rules taking effect.
How will my campaign be affected?
Campaigns previously on Keep100 will see payment processing fees handled a little differently. Under Keep100, this fee was added on top of the donation and paid by the donor; under the Shared fee model, it's deducted from the donation, so the campaigner incurs the cost instead.
This means it's worth checking which fee model applies to your campaign when reconciling donation reports, to make sure you're calculating the correct amount received.
What is the difference between the Keep 100 and Shared fee models?
Creating a campaign on Chuffed is free — we don't charge platform fees by default. The only fees you'll incur depend on which fee model your campaign uses. You can learn more about the different fee models in our Fee Models support article.
Is there anything I need to do?
No — this change happens automatically. If you'd like to keep using Keep100 until 24 September 2026, you don't need to do anything.
Alternatively, you can update your campaign's fee model any time before then if you'd prefer to make the switch early.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I apply multiple fee models in a single campaign?
No — only one fee model can apply to a campaign at a time. It's not possible to apply different fee models based on specific rules.
Can I change my fee model part-way through my campaign?
Yes, you can change your fee model while your campaign is live and actively receiving donations. You'll be able to reconcile which fee model applied using your Chuffed reports.
How do I confirm how much my campaign has raised?
Your campaign page shows the total raised by default. For a breakdown of individual donations, you can also refer to your Chuffed reports — our What on-demand reports does Chuffed provide? article covers these in more detail.
